At the 2008 SEMA Show Hyundai presented Genesis Coupes tuned by Rhys Millen Racing, Street Concepts and HKS. For this year’s event GReddy Performance Parts was chosen as a tuning partner. Not only will the product be displayed for show but customers will be able to customise their own cars using parts presented.

The show car is called the GReddy X-Gen Street Genesis Coupe and features an exterior styling kit, interior mods and an engine upgrade. Beginning with the engine GReddy took the Genesis Coupe 2.0T and gave it a turbo kit, a large front-mounted intercooler and a SE Spectrum Elite cat-back exhaust system among others. It has a Type-S fully adjustable coil-over suspension, six-piston front and four-piston rear brake calipers as well.

For the moment we are looking at a target of about 257kW (350hp) and maximum torque of 434Nm (320 ft-lbs). The 0 – 60mph time is estimated at under 6 seconds. After SEMA 2009 the tuner says more changes will be made to achieve a power figure close to 368kW (500hp).

Exterior-wise bits like an aero lip spoiler, a carbon fibre bonnet and an aggressive rear spoiler were added. The interior comes with Sparco racing seats, a boost controller, a turbo timer, some modified gauges and a remote switching system.
